PARTICIPANTS OF ARMY WAR COLLEGE NIGERIA CONDUCT FINAL EXERCISE

 

The Army War College Nigeria (AWCN) conducted its final exercise for the participants of Course 6/2022. The exercise nicknamed STAR RIDE is designed to enhance operational planning skills of participants as they evolve holistic plans in a bid to solve contemporary security challenges affecting Nigeria.

The 5-day exercise practiced participants on Counter Terrorism Counter Insurgency operations, Interagency Cooperation, Logistics Planning, Regular and Irregular Warfare.

The exercise which was set at the operational level is aimed at providing the participants who are operational commanders of diverse experience cutting across various strata, the opportunity to practice operational art, campaign planning and preparation and conduct of operations in a joint and multi – dimensional setting as commanders and staff.

Mean while: CHIEF OF AIR STAFF MEETS OPERATIONAL COMMANDERS, CHARGES NAF PERSONNEL TO REMAIN APOLITICAL

In order to sustain players’ interest and maintain realism, the exercise was monitored and controlled by umpires and observers from different Army Headquarters’ Departments.
