BE ENTREPRENEURIAL: COMMANDANT TO EX NYSC MEMBERS

 

The Commandant Army War College Nigeria (AWCN) Maj Gen BA Alabi has enjoined ex members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who served in the College to be entrepreneurial during their post NYSC scheme life. The Commandant gave the advice during a sendoff organised by the College in honour of the ex-members of the scheme who completed their one year mandatory service in the College.

He urged the ex corps members to exploit the knowledge acquired while in school and the experience gained during the service period to create self employment opportunities. In his words “I congratulate all of you on behalf of the College community for a successful service year in the College, I urge you to be entrepreneurial in your post NYSC life”

The Commandant thanked the celebrants for their selfless service to the College and asked them to continue to see themselves as part of the College family and also be good ambassadors of the College wherever they find themselves.

Highpoints of the events included presentation of certificate of service and gifts to the ex Corpers. The event was attended by the Deputy Commandant/Director of Studies Brig Gen UM Alkali, Directors, Members of Faculty officers, soldiers and civilian staff of the College as well as family members of the ex corps members.
