Army  War College  Nigeria Holds Interagency Seminar 2022

The Army War College Nigeria (AWCN) held  it’s year 2022 Inter Agency Seminar for Participants of Course 6/ 2022 on Thursday 19 May,.2922.The seminar with the theme ” Apparaising the Roles of Civil Society Towards Engendering Effective Internal Security in Nigeria” was declared open by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya represented by the Chief of Civil Military Affairs (Army) Maj Gen Markus Kangye.
The Guest Lecturer, Prof Victor Adetula delivered the first lecture titled ” Coordinating Civil Society Towards Integrated Internal Security Operations in Nigeria” The presentation was  followed by an interactive session moderated by Barr Idayat Hassan, a civil rights activists. The paper was discussed by Prof O Mbachu, Prof Usman Tar, Dean, Faculty of Social Science, Nigerian Defence Academy and Sir Bola Abimbola. The Lecture 2 titled ” Evolving Strategies for Collaboration between the Civil Society, Security Agencies and the Nigerian Army Towards Effective Internal Security Operations in Nigeria ” was  delivered by Prof Pam Dung Sha, Hon Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Mr Abubakar Malami SAN, and representatives of the NPF, NCS, NIS, NDLEA, NSCDC as well as EFCC discussed the paper. Among the dignitaries who  attended  the one- day seminar included the Comdt National Defence College, Rear Admiral MM Bashir, representative of the Director General, Nigerian Army Resource Center, Principal Staff Officers from Defence and Services Headquarters, Chief of  Defence Civil -Military Affairs, Rear Admiral AO Ayobanjo, Director, Civil Military Affairs HQ NAF, Air Commodore A Nweke as well as members of  Civil Society Organizations and academia.
